Timber wooden bicycle by Niko Schmutz

The timber is a wooden bicycle that offers a new innovation to the cycling world by its high-quality design, unusual materials and a new frame geometry. Thin layers of oak veneer make up the three-piece wooden frame of the timber. The frame makes the most of the resilient properties of wood and has been designed to absorb vibration and lend the vehicle a spring effect on uneven roads. By comparably high stiffness and a great absorption capacity as well as the given environmental performance of wood, the material represents an interesting material for this design concept. The simple aluminium components in black emphasize the exclusive wooden core of the bike. Alternating matt and gloss aluminium elements, such as the front fork are seamlessly attached to the wooden frame. Both saddle and handlebar are covered in leather.
The innovative shape and the individual appearance is the reason why the timber is a real eye-catcher at any place. The bike tour thus becomes an exclusive and emotional awakening experience.
