Headland of Dreams by Julien Mauve

Photographer description:

"This project is based on a text called « Promontorium somnii » written by Victor Hugo in 1863 and dealing with the continuum between real and dream. Hugo talks about our need to find something within ourselves than can help us sail through the remains of dreams and the will-of-the-wisps of illusion. He claims that « sleep is not a formal necessity for dreams ». I tried to explore this nocturnal world with photographs, find a dream-state presence in the waking life and reveal this « world that does not exist and yet which does"
