A bicycle with its basket full of flowers in front of the Notre Dame cathedral. The wheel merges with the rose window, the basket with the upper arches, and the flowers with the trefoils and quatrefoils of the church facade. The Arc de Triomphe serves only as architectural backdrop to one of Paris' pedestrian pleasures: Walking in the rain. A row a cafe chairs - good for people watching - complement the rhythmic arches of the Pont Neuf. A pair of champagne glasses on a cafe table, the bubbles intermingling with the evening stars, creates a phantom Eiffel Tower in the negative space between the two glasses.
